Bhubaneswar, 6/2/2024 ( Odisha Samachar /Rajat Mohapatra)- In order to foster a healthy sprit of competition and improving the aspiration level of the trainees and trainers of all Government and Private ITIs & Polytechnics, the state Government’s Directorate of Technical Education and Training is conducting a four days “Polytechnic & ITI Fest 2023” a sports and cultural meet in state capital. The meet hosts total 2745 numbers of students in 28 Sports & Athletic Events and 24 Cultural Events which is biggest event ever it has happened TVET sector.
In this event, 936 numbers of students of Polytechnics (569 boys & 367 girls) from 06 zones are participating in Poly Fest 2023 on 5th & 6th Feb 2024. Similarly, 1809 number of trainees of ITIs (1071 boys & 738 girls) from 11 zones are participating in ITI Fest 2023 on 7th & 8th Feb 2024. This state level meet is second of its kind in the entire country. The event will be hosted at different venues across the city including Kalinga Stadium, IDCO Cricket ground Bhubaneswar for sports & athletic competitions and cultural competitions are organized at the auditoriums of SCTE&VT & ITI, Bhubaneswar.
The fest participants have been supported with colorful uniforms specified for different zones they are representing and other logistics. Total 12 numbers of Organizing Committees have been formed by the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, 
Odisha, Cuttack for smooth management of this youth aspirational annual sports & cultural meet at the State level. Hon’ble Minister, SD&TE Department will inaugurate this mega event of TVET sector on 5th Feb’ 2024. The other dignitaries are Hon’ble Chairperson, OSDA, Principal Secretary to Government, SD&TE Department, Additional Secretary to Government, SD&TE Department and DTE&T, Odisha, Cuttack.
