Cuttack,22/7/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- In one more Vigilance Operation today, on receipt of reliable information regarding running of two illegal saw mills at Gop and Jaleswar Station Bazar under Jaleswar Police Station, Dist-Balasore, a joint forest raid was conducted by the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance. It was ascertained that the two saw mills were running without any valid license. During the raid, saw mill accessories along with timber worth Rs.8,00,000/-(Rupees Eight Lakh) were detected and seized. In this connection, two forest cases vide OR Case No.21 of 2022 and UD Case No.7 of 2022 for violation Under Section-4 of The Orissa Sawmill and Sawpit (Control) Act-1991 have been registered in Jaleswar Forest Range under Balasore Wildlife Division and are under investigation.
