Cuttack,23/9/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On 22.09.2021, a team of Odisha Vigilance had intercepted Sri Susanta Kumar Sahoo, IIC, Motu PS, Dist-Malkangiri in evening on NH-16 near office of SP, Khordha, while he was plying from Motu to his native village Nakhara on an Ertiga SUV car bearing registration No.OD-05-AX-5629. During interception, a sum of Rs.2,80,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Eighty Thousand) was recovered from Sri Sahoo, IIC, which he could not account for satisfactorily. The cash as well as other documents including Ertiga SUV car have been seized.
During house searches, among other incriminating material, a registered sale deed of value Rs.24,90,000/- of plot at Nakhara purchased recently in the name of his spouse, has also been recovered.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS case No.26 dt.22.09.2021 U/s 7(a)/13 (2) r/w 13(1) (b)/12 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against Sri Susanta Kumar Sahoo, IIC, Motu PS, Dist-Malkangiri. Today i.e. on 23.09.2021 he has been arrested and forwarded to the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar. The Hon’ble Court has remanded him to Judicial custody till 05.10.2021.
The investigation of the case is in progress.
