Odisha CM Shri Naveen Patnaik  launched FootballForAll

Bhubaneswar, 10/10/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-Launching #FootballForAll programme, CM Shri Naveen Patnaik said football is the most popular game & brings together people across the globe. CM thanked FIFA for choosing #Odisha for this programme & appreciated the role of Achyuta Samanta, KISS – Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, & KIIT – Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.

Under the #FootballForAll programme, over 43,000 footballs will be distributed to children in about 2,000 schools. This is first such programme by FIFA to promote football in the country. CM looked forward to future partnerships with FIFA for development of football in Odisha.

CM hoped these partnerships & initiatives will help football development in the country, adding that Odisha is quite focused on football development, especially women’s football. As a legacy of the World Cup, Odisha will have good infrastructure & coaching programmes, CM added.

Saying that it’s a proud moment for #Odisha to be the host venue for #FIFA #U17WWC, CM said we have partnered with #AIFF & #FIFA to bring the best of football to the State. This World Cup will give a major boost towards development of football in the state, CM emphasised.
