Catch a glimpse of the Lord of the Skies as he lands in Indore for a day to spend time with his fans

Indore, 18th May 2022: Sony SAB’s mythological magnum opus Dharm Yoddha Garud has successfully managed to keep its fans intrigued with its riveting plot and diverse characters. From reflecting on a unique mother-son bond to introducing us to few lesser-known characters from the Indian scriptures to narrating an untold story of sacrifice, grit and dedication, the show has offered a differentiated viewing experience on Indian television. To talk about its success so far, Garud (Faisal Khan), along with his co-actors, Vinta (Toral Rasputra), Kadru (Parul Chauhan) and Kaalia (Ankit Raaj) visited the city of Indore today to meet and greet their fans and spend a day full of fun activities.
Being born into slavery, Garud grows up with a sole purpose, to free his mother from subjugation. To accomplish his oath of earning back his mother’s dignity, he sets off on an adventure to fetch the Suryaphool from Surya Lok for Kadru, hoping that the latter would now consider freeing Vinta from slavery. Not only does he manage to get the Suryaphool but is also blessed with a boon from Shanidev that allows him to shift shapes anytime at his will. However, despite succeeding in his mission, Garud returns only to know that his snake brothers who hid in his wings are half burnt by Surya Dev’s might and now the blame for their misery is on him and his mother Vinta. What will Garud do now to ensure the safety of Kadru’s sons?
With interesting developments to follow, Dharm Yoddha Garud promises to treat the viewers to some iconic happenings that remain hidden in the pages of history.
Faisal Khan playing the role of Garud said, “It’s difficult to express the amount of learning that I am imbibing from playing this character. Every new chapter ushers in a new challenge allowing me to go the extra mile and perform. As a team, we are trying our best to ensure that the authenticity of our mythology is not comprised and we are able to keep the entertainment quotient constant as well. I am really happy to be in Indore today and interact closely with our fans. The excitement amongst the audience is a testament to the good work that we have been able to deliver and promise to continue,”
Toral Rasputra essaying the role of Vinta says, “I am thoroughly enjoying tapping various shades of Vinta’s character. At a glance, her character might seem weak and submissive, but Vinta is the strongest of all, harboring all the secrets and trying to hold it together for her son’s sake. Hers is also one of the most selfless characters in Indian mythology and I hope I am able to do justice to her portrayal. I am really excited to be in Indore today with my amazing cast and its humbling to see so much love and support pouring in.”
Parul Chauhan who plays the evil Kadru, says“As an actor, it is fulfilling and creatively satisfying to play a complex character like Kadru. It takes a lot of mental preparation to play someone so vindictive and evil, who seeks authority over anything else. That level of tyranny has to be cultivated from within, which is a process I am enjoying the most. I am happy that I have been able to strike a chord with Kadru’s character and make her believable to the audience. I am looking forward to a fulfilling day in Indore and interact with our fans in the city.”
Ankit Raaj who essays the role of Kaalia, says,“The best part about playing Kaalia is that he has no qualms in being evil. He is evident in his hatred for Garud, effortless in his ego and power and will stop at nothing to make life miserable for his brother. It’sincredible to witness so much love pouring in from the audience and we promise to live up to it. I am looking forward to having a lot of fun with my co-actors and fans in Indore today and make them a part of our journey.”
