Some promises became my reason to smile,
Some gave me strength to walk another mile.
When life grew dark and dreams seemed far away,
Those promises whispered, “There’s another day.”
I held them close when everything fell apart,
They kept a little sunshine in my heart.
Not all were fulfilled, yet I held on tight,
For some promises gave my soul the will to fight.
And if I am still standing, through every tide,
It’s because those promises kept hope alive.
Some promises are not just words we keep,
They are the reasons a wounded soul doesn’t sleep. ❤️
