KDA, MDA, and JSP’s Devotional Cultural Evening ‘Ho Bhakate’ Inaugurated

Kataka, July 27, 2026( Odisha Samachar / Debasis Rath): On the auspicious occasion of Adharapana and Niladri Bije of Lord Jagannath, the savior of the universe, a two-day devotional and cultural program titled “Ho Bhakate” was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Mahanadi Bhavan, Mahanadi Vihar.

The event, being held on July 26 and 27, has been organized by the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA/KDA) in collaboration with the Mahanadi Vihar Development Association (MDA) and the Shree Jagannath Sanskrutik Parishad (JSP).

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by MDA President Sanjay Jena. Former Choudwar- Cuttack MLA Dr. Pravat Ranjan Biswal, who attended as the chief guest, formally inaugurated the program. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the divine play of Lord Jagannath is truly unique and that, with the Lord’s blessings, the “Ho Bhakate” program has attained a high standard of excellence. He also appreciated the efforts of all the organizers for successfully conducting the event.

JSP President Chaturbhuja Mahapatra delivered the welcome address, while Ullas Beura introduced the guests and conducted the proceedings. On the occasion, eminent personalities from various fields, including social service, environmental conservation, classical dance, and journalism, were felicitated for their outstanding contributions. The devotional event, organized by the KDA for the first time, received an enthusiastic response and appreciation from local residents.

Among those present were MDA Vice- President Saroj Prasad Swain; Joint Secretary Gyanaranjan Das; Golekh Kanungo; Rabindra Prasad Tripathy; Nikunja Rath; Pradeep Mohanty; and JSP members Rakesh Kumar Tripathy, Shashikanta Nayak, Basanti Satpathy, Sujit Mishra, Sushanta Ghosh, Abhaya Parija, Sarat Chandra Kundu, Biswajit Swain, Deepak Rautray, Pradipta Kumar Mohanty, and Rabinarayan Brahmachari; Yashaswi Mahapatra; along with several other office- bearers and members. The vote of thanks was proposed by JSP Secretary Himanshu Sadangi, while the entire programme was coordinated by young social worker Sai Saurabh Jena.
