Bhubaneswar, 17/5/2026 ( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra)-The Center for Modernizing Government Initiative (CMGI) organized an engaging Orientation Programme with ICC Women Entrepreneurship Council(INWEC) members on the Odisha Right to Public Services Act (ORTPSA) and the Ama Sathi Unified WhatsApp BOT.

This significant event took place on 15th May 2026 at the Convention Centre,Lokseva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. In his welcome address, Sri Surendra Kumar Meena,IAS, Executive Director of CMGI, emphasized the government’s determination to actively engage Civil Societies in raising awareness about essential welfare initiatives. He announced the Cabinet’s official approval of the Auto Appeal System, a groundbreaking mechanism designed to eradicate delays in grievance redressal. This system ensures that if a designated officer does not deliver a service within the required timeframe, the service request is automatically escalated to a higher authority, thereby enhancing accountability and efficiency.

The programme included an in-depth technical session led by Sri Pinaki Mohanty, Project Coordinator of ORTPSA. During this session, he presented a thorough analysis of Public Services;  the need to enact the Right to Public Services Act  and provisions under the ORTPSA.

He also delved into the architectural framework of the Auto Appeal System, illustrating how digital integration facilitates Automatic Appeals. This innovation eliminates the burden on citizens to manually file appeals when deadlines are missed, thus significantly enhancing transparency and accountability in public services.

Furthermore, Sri Mohanty informed the members about the Ama Sathi Unified WhatsApp BOT, which aims to streamline public service delivery and improve user experience.
