Bhubaneswar, 29/5/2025 ( Odisha Samachar )-In a significant step toward breaking the silence surrounding menstruation, VIEWS (Voluntary Integration for Education and Welfare of Society) organized a Mass Rally on Menstrual Hygiene Management at Sikharchandi Nagar in Bhubaneswar. The event aimed to raise awareness about menstrual health, promote open dialogue, and challenge the stigma and negative perceptions often associated with menstruation.
The rally was inaugurated by Mr. S. Bheema Rao, Executive Director of VIEWS, at the Sikharchandi Nagar Community Hall. The rally proceeded through the entire Sikharchandi Nagar slum area, creating a powerful visual impact and drawing the attention of the local community.
More than 200 enthusiastic youth from across Bhubaneswar took part in the rally. Participants carried placards and raised slogans such as “My Period, My Rights,” advocating for menstrual equity and the right to dignity and information.
This initiative by VIEWS is part of its ongoing efforts to empower communities through education, health awareness, and gender equality.
