ENGINEERS UNDERGOING TRAINING ON “ANTI-CORRUPTION LAWS” WITH FOCUS ON PREVENTIVE VIGILANCE AND TRANSPARENCY IN TENDERING, PROCUREMENT AND PROJECT EXECUTION.

Jethwa, IPS, Director, Vigilance, Odisha, Cuttack today inaugurated a “Two days training programme cum Workshop” for the officers of Engineering Departments of State Government on “Anti-Corruption Laws” which is being organised at State Vigilance Academy (SVA), Bhubaneswar from 29.12.2021 to 30.12.2021. Thirty-Six (36) Engineers from the rank of Asst. Engineer to Superintending Engineer from different divisions of Works Department throughout the State attended the Workshop. The Director, Vigilance as Chief Guest of the Inaugural Session urged the participants of this workshop to improve their performance to achieve the goal of transparency as a part of “Mo Sarkar and 5T” policy of the Government. The Director emphasized to follow Preventive Vigilance in the domain of their working system and to prevent any wilful wrong doing of sub-ordinate staff. This training programme has been designed to sensitize the Engineers regarding Preventive Vigilance, Provisions of P.C Act, 1988 as amended by P.C Act, 2018, Transparency in tendering projects, Procurement Process and execution of projects and Do’s and Don’ts and How to Prevent irregularities in spending Public Funds.
Among others, Shri R. Prakash, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division cum Addl. Director, State Vigilance Academy, Bhubaneswar and Shri Dilip Kumar Chhotaray, Deputy Director (Training & Academics), State Vigilance Academy were present in the Inaugural Session.
