Bhubaneswar, 01/01/2021 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhishek Mohanty )- : Senior IAS officer Suresh Kumar Mohapatra took charge as Chief Secretary of Odisha on Friday.
Mohapatra replaced Asit Tripathy, who retired from service on December 31, 2020.
Prior to his appointment as the new Chief Secretary, the 1986-batch IAS officer was serving as the Development Commissioner and holding additional charge as Working Chairperson of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Puri.
Former Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy has been appointed as the Chairman of Western Odisha Development Council.
