Odisha registers 6 more COVID deaths & 349 positive cases

Bhubaneswar, 8/12/2020 ( Odisha Samachar / Abhishek Mohanty ): Odisha records 6 more COVID deaths and 349 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

The COVID death toll of the state now stands at 1,784.

The deceased have been identified as a 33-year-old female of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease & Hypertension, a 56-year-old male of Khordha district, a 37-year-old female of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, a 47-year-old male of Puri district who was also suffering from Hypertension & Diabetes Mellitus, a 55-year-old male of Sambalpur district who was also suffering from old case of Coronary Artery Disease- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention ST (2006), a 30-year-old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Acute Pancreatitis, Acute Kidney Injury & Chronic Liver Disease.

The positive cases are from Angul: 26, Balasore: 23, Bargarh: 19, Bhadrak: 5, Balangir: 6, Boudh: 4, Cuttack: 22, Deogarh: 2, Dhenkanal: 1, Ganjam: 4, Jagatsinghpur: 5, Jajpur: 8, Jharsuguda: 18, Kalahandi: 19, Kendrapada: 5, Keonjhar: 7, Khurda: 44, Koraput: 1, Malkangiri: 3, Mayurbhanj: 18, Nawarangpur: 3, Nayagarh: 1, Nuapada: 10, Puri: 22, Rayagada: 1, Sambalpur: 14, Sonepur: 2, Sundargarh: 46 and State Pool: 10.

The total number of positive cases surged to 321913.
