Bhubaneswar,20/06/2024( Odisha Samachar/ Rajat Mohapatra)-  The Minister of Higher Education Govt. of OdishaShSuryabanshiSuraj visited the department after assuming the charge and held a review meeting with Commissioner cum Secretary ShArvindAgrawal and other staffs. Commissioner cum Secretary ShriArvindAgarwal, Special Secretary ShriPramod Kumar Mishra, ShriRamakantNayak and other senior officials welcomed the Minister by offering flower bouquet and informed him about various programs, colleges, universities and activities of the department. The Minister expressed the opinion that Odisha government is determined to promote the meritorious and poor students by implementing the New education Policy in higher education. Informed about the performance and issues of different colleges, universities, private, non- aided and block grant colleges of the state and asked the department officials to take necessary steps to resolve the same as soon as possible. Similarly, he stressed on the enrollment and attendance of female students. Minister ShriSuryabanshiSuraj said that there will be no shortage of funds for infrastructure and other developmental activities for the colleges in the state. All the schemes &programmes launched by the higher education department should be taken care of the students, especially the poor & meritorious students should be the beneficiary.
