Odisha government extended State-wide lockdown till June 17. 

Bhubaneswar, 30/5/2021 ( Odisha Samachar / Sucheta Debata )-  Odisha government Today extended the State-wide lockdown till June 17.  Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra made the announcement this evening .

During the lockdown period, all the usual restrictions will continue to be strictly imposed. Weekend shutdown will also be enforced.

In three districts namely Nuapada, Gajapati and Sundargarh where the Covid cases have drastically reduced in past several days, the relaxation time for availing of essential commodities has been extended to 6 hours from 6 am to 1 pm. All the shops except Mall, Parlour and Saloon are not permitted . During the Lockdown the situation of above three District will again will be considered . If the Covid infection will increase then relaxation will be withdrawn .

According to the notification of the Special Relief Commissioner, the ongoing state-wide lockdown has been extended for another 16 days till 5 AM on June 17, 2021.

Weekend Shutdown on Saturday and Sunday will be complete shutdown from  6 PM on Fridays till 5 AM on Mondays.

All restrictions on Marriage, Thread, Funeral ceremony etc will continue as before .
