She reviews development projects, in Keonjhar
Bhubaneswar, 13/05/26 ( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra)-: Deputy Chief Minister Mrs Pravati Parida on Tuesday attended the district-level Mukhyamantri Kanya Bibaha Yojana programme organised by the Department of Women and Child Development at Shankarpur Sports Complex in Keonjhar and blessed 38 newlywed couples.
Keonjhar MP Ananta Nayak, Telkoi MLA and District Planning Committee Chairman Dr Fakir Mohan Naik, Collector Vishal Singh, DFO Dhanaraj HD, Additional District Magistrates Mandardhar Mahalik and Dr Priyanka Marandi, among others, were present on the occasion.
During her visit, the Deputy Chief Minister also chaired a review meeting at the Darbar Hall of the Collectorate to assess the progress of ongoing developmental projects and welfare programmes in the district. MP Ananta Nayak, MLA Dr Fakir Mohan Naik and senior administrative officials attended the meeting.

She reviewed the status of infrastructure facilities at Anganwadi centres in the district, including construction of dedicated buildings, drinking water supply, electricity connection and toilet facilities.
The review also focused on distribution through the Face Recognition System, monitoring of child nutrition and implementation of the Subhadra Yojana, including field-level verification of applications.
Discussions were also held on Mission Shakti, Samarthya, Shakti Sadan and Palana Crèche services, along with awareness campaigns being conducted to make the district free from child marriage.
The Deputy Chief Minister further stressed the effective utilisation of District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds for women and child development projects and highlighted the need for rehabilitation and educational support for children residing in child care institutions.
Meanwhile, she assessed the status of developmental and beautification works along with facilities such as parking, pathways and toilets at major tourist destinations of the district, including Maa Tarini Temple, Sanaghagara, Badaghagara and Khandadhar during the review.
She further directed officials to ensure timely completion of all developmental works and regular monitoring for effective delivery of services to beneficiaries.
