Bhubaneswar, 11/10/2025 ( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra )- Dr. Satyabrata Mohanty of the Department of Agricultural Extension Education, College of Horticulture, Chipilima Campus, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), was the only participant from Odisha selected for the fully funded “Bridging Disciplines for Planetary Resilience: A UK–India Collaborative Workshop and Research Initiative.”
The workshop was held on October 10, 2025, in Chennai.
The program was jointly organized by the University of Greenwich, British Council, and Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) under the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF).
Seven senior researchers from the United Kingdom joined Indian counterparts to discuss interdisciplinary collaborations in climate, agriculture, ecosystems, and sustainability. During the workshop, several joint research proposals were developed to initiate future collaborative projects between the UK and India.
Dr. Mohanty’s participation highlighted Odisha’s growing contribution to global research in agriculture and climate resilience, strengthening the state’s academic engagement on an international platform.
