Bhubaneswar, 10/10/2025 ( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra)-Pond to Prosperity, a sustainable program on freshwater aquaculture for women was organized by National Freshwater Fish Brood Bank, Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar in Collaboration with Ekta Trust the Power of Unity.
The main objective of the Program is for Scaling community-based aquaculture for enhanced nutrition and women’s empowerment and substantial income increase, improved nutritional outcomes and adoption of best management practices and environmental improvements.
The Program was inaugurated by Dr Nagesh Kumar Barik, Principal Scientist, ICAR- CIFA and Mrs Prajna Ritambhara Swain, OIC, NFFBB. Mr Rabi Moharana, National Awardee and Managing Trustee and Eng Diptirekha Pattnaik, Chairman Ekta Trust were the invited guests.
The resource persons present were Mr Narshing Mund, DDF Puri Zone, Deptt of fisheries, Govt of Odisha and Mr Pratap Chandra Dash, DFO, State Fish Farm, Kausalyaganga.
