SRI KISHORE KUMAR NAYAK, FORMER FOREST RANGE OFFICER, DIGAPAHANDI, DIST-GANJAM CONVICTED IN BRIBERY CASE AND SENT TO JAIL.

Cuttack, 13/9/2025 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 23.09.2025, Sri Kishore Kumar Nayak, Former Forest Range Officer, Digapahandi, Dist-Ganjam (Retired), who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 PC Act, 1988 for demanding and taking bribe Rs.30,000/- from a complainant to not take legal action against him for seizure of timber from his house, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 4 years and fine.

Further, the convict Sri Kishore Kumar Nayak, Former Forest Range Officer, Digapahandi, Dist-Ganjam was sent to jail custody to serve his sentence.

Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Kishore Kumar Nayak, Former Forest Range Officer, Digapahandi, Dist-Ganjam (Retired) following his conviction.

Sri BenudharNayak, Ex-DSP, Vigilance, Berhampur Division had investigated the case and Sri Surendra Panda, Spl. PPs Vigilance, Berhampur conductedthe case on behalf of the prosecution.
