Bhubaneswar, 18/01/2025( Odisha Samachar/Rajat Mohapatra)- The monthly review meeting of the Rural Development Department was held today under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh. In this review meeting held at the conference hall of the Rural Development Department, Shri Singh reviewed the work of all the sixty-three Rural Development Divisions of the state. In this meeting, the officers of all the divisions joined through video conferencing and apprised the Principal Secretary about the status of all the projects under construction and other related aspects.
At the beginning of the review meeting, the Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh extended his greetings and best wishes to everyone for the New Year-2025. As this was the first monthly review meeting of the Rural Development Department in the new year, he urged everyone to perform the departmental work with utmost enthusiasm and commitment. In the meeting, review of the implementation of projects of all RD divisions under the was done.
In meeting detailed review was done regarding Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojana, different schemes of the Rural Development Department and the grievances received through the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell. Principal Secretary Shri Singh inquired about the progress and current status of all the above programs of all the divisions. All the projects implemented under PM-JANMAN and Setu Bandhan Yojana were also reviewed.
The completion of the projects under construction since the previous financial years were discussed in detail. Principal Secretary directed to focus on the preparation of proper design, survey and estimate for each project. He also asked to ensure high standard and quality of each work and to ensure completion of the project within the stipulated time frame. The issues related to forest clearance, land acquisition and construction works in Naxal affected areas were also discussed in detail.
Emphasizing on administrative reforms, Shri Singh directed to ensure that the employees retiring from the department are given full pension on the day of their retirement. He also asked to focus on the speedy resolution of the complaints received through grievance redressal. Principal Secretary Shri Singh urged all the officers present to complete all the departmental work in a timely manner and ensure their contribution to the progress of the state.
The review meeting was attended by all senior officers including Special Secretary Shri Sarbeshwar Singh, Additional Secretary Smt. Babita Mohanty, Financial Advisor Smt. Smita Pani, EIC Shri Prasanna Kumar Sahu, EIC Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena and all senior officers.
