Bhubaneswar, 28/12/2024 ( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra )-  Cotton Corporation of India, CMD Shri Lalit Gupta met Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy Sh Kanak Vardhan SinghDeo today at Lokseva Bhavan today. While meeting him, Sh Gupta addressed various issues about cotton production, procurement and market facilities.

Currently, cotton cultivation is being done on 2.39 lakh hectares of land in Odisha. The target is to produce 40 lakh quintals of cotton this year. The cotton produced in Odisha is of the best quality and is in demand in the market. Also discussed the future perspectives of CCI and the Government of Odisha.

Principal Secretary, DAFE Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Regional Manager CCI, Sh T K Das, Additional Director DAFE Sh J Surya Rao are present during this meeting.
