Bhubaneswar, 02/09/2024 ( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra )- A review of corporation / agencies working under A & FE Department was being held under the Chairmanship of Shree Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Agriculture  and Farmers’ Empowerment, Odisha. Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt., A&FE Department, Sri Prem Chandra Chaudhary, IAS, Director, A&FP, Odisha, Sri Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, IAS, Director, Horticulture & Soil Conservation & Watershed Development  and others Senior Officers of the Department, Corporations and Agencies were present.

The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, A&FE discussed upon achievement of the target fixed by the Department and maintenance of transparency and efficiency in official work. The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, A&FE also stressed upon reaching out the Farmers at the last mile in providing services, support, guidance and benefits.

Further, he advised to popularise the organic farming and creating facilities for Organic Certification, Marketing Support and Creation of related infrastructure.

At the end, Memorandum of Understanding between Government of Odisha and various Corporations under administrative control of A & FE Department, i.e. Odisha Agro-Industries Corporation Limited, Odisha State Seeds Corporation Limited, Odisha State Cashew Development Corporation and APICOL was signed for the Financial Year, 2024-25.
