Bhubaneswar, 29/01/2023 (Odisha Samachar) – Finally came the sad news – death of Health Minister Nab Das. The minister was on a visit to Brijrajnagar today to attend a party program in Brijrajnagar. ASI Gopal Das, 
the police officer in charge of Gandhichhak Fandi, shot him from close range with his service revolver when he got down from his car. A bullet hit him in the chest. The gunshot wound to the chest exited the back. He was airlifted to a private hospital (Apollo Hospital) in Bhubaneswar in critical condition. Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik reached the Governor Professor Ganeshilal Hospital and inquired about the health condition of the Minister. But at last we got the information that he died. The Chief Minister directed the Crime Branch to investigate the incident. A crime branch investigation has been started.
