Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium inaugurated

Rourkela, 05/01/2023 (Odisha Samachar)- Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium this afternoon. On this occasion, Mr. Patnaik said, “I am very happy to inaugurate the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela. The construction of Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium, which has a capacity of 20 thousand spectators, has been completed within 15 months. The stadium has special seating arrangements for the disabled. Along with this, a world cup hockey village with 225 rooms has also been constructed within nine months. The Chief Minister made a big announcement ahead of the inauguration of the huge hockey stadium in Rourkela for Men’s Hockey World Cup-2023. The Chief Minister made a big announcement that if India becomes the champion in the World Cup, each player will get a prize of one crore. The Chief Minister has made this big announcement for the Indian hockey team. The Chief Minister met the players at Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium. Today, on the occasion of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to Rourkela, 359 projects were inaugurated. Projects worth more than 11 hundred crores. Along with this, the Chief Minister launched the ‘Hockey in Odisha’ booklet, inaugurated the Sundergarh Government Medical College.
