Cuttack,29/11/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-Today i.e. on 29.11.2022, Sri Amiya Kumar Dash, ABEO, Badachana and Sri Sudhansu Sekhar Nayak, Junior Clerk, office of Block Education Officer, Badachana, Dist-Jajpur have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) from a complainant (Teacher of a School) for release of his arrear pay and other dues pending since long.
Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 29.11.2022, wherein the accused Sri Amiya Kumar Dash, ABEO and Sri Sudhansu Sekhar Nayak, Junior Clerk were caught by the team of Odisha Vigilance in the office of BEO, Badachana, Jajpur while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) from the complainant. The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sri Dash and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash of Sri Dash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the parental house of Sri Dash at Kudei Sasan, PS-Badachana, Dist-Jajpur, his residential flat No.4 at Shree Tower, BJB Nagar, Bhubaneswar as well as the residential house of Sri Nayak at Surkhadeipur, PS-Badachana, Dist-Jajpur. Both the accused persons namely Sri Amiya Kumar Dash, ABEO and Sri Sudhansu Sekhar Nayak, Junior Clerk have been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance P.S. Case No.50 dated 28.11.2022 U/s 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018/34 IPC has been registered and is under investigation.
