Breaking News : Three Dead & Fifteen injured in Rail accident @Korei .

Jajpur  ,21/11/2022 ( Odisha Samachar / Suresh Kumar Kar )-  Three persons found dead  and fifteen Persons  injured in a tragic rail accident at Korei station in Jaipur district today .

Eight wagons of a goods train from  Dongaposi moving towards Chhatrapur  derailed  at 6.44 am while the passengers were  waiting  in the waiting room in this station. The deceased have been identified as Kandhei Bindhani, Parvathi Bindhani &  Abjun Bibi. Injuries have been forwarded to the local hospital and then the DHH ,Jajpur. The railway station building  also damaged due to this  derailment. Trains in this routes have been blocked.

Naveen Pattanaik , CM Odisha  expressed grief over the accident and wished  a speedy recovery of the injured. The chief minister conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved families . In this regard he has  announced an  exgratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the victims where  Aswini Vaishnaw ,the Central Raillway Minister  has  announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of the kin of the deceased, Rs 1 lakh each for sever injury persons  &  Rs 25 thousand for   minor injuries.

Two teams have been  deployed to  help the injured and give them the best possible treatment as per the PRO of East Coast Railway . Sukinda MLA & Minister Sri Pritiranjan Ghadei , Revenue Minister Smt. Pramilla Mallick along with the official of  district administration were visited the spot and extended their condolences .
