Cuttack,30/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 30.09.2022, Sri Manoj Kumar Lenka, Asst. Manager (Civil), BCD-II, office of Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, Bhubaneswar was arrested by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to the Court of Spl. Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar for possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs.3,38,65,970/-, which he could not account for satisfactorily. In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S. Case No.31 dt.30.09.2022 was registered against Sri Manoj Kumar Lenka, Asst. Manager (Civil) and his spouse U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b) /12 PC Act, 1988 as amended by PC (Amendment) Act, 2018.
On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Manoj Kumar Lenka, Asst. Manager (Civil), simultaneous house searches were conducted on 29.09.2022 at 9 places in Khurdha, Puri, Kendrapara and Kandhamal districts by 9 teams of Odisha Vigilance led by 2 DSPs, 10 Inspectors, 2 Sub Inspectors, 5 ASIs and other staff on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
After thorough search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri Manoj Kumar Lenka, Asst. Manager (Civil), BCD-II, office of Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, Bhubaneswar and his spouse were calculated and they were found in possession of disproportionate assets amounting to Rs.3,38,65,970/-(Rupees Three Crore Thirty-eight Lakh Sixty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy) which is 387% higher than their known sources of income.
