Cuttack,30/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar ) – On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, simultaneous house searches have been launched on the properties of Sri Bishnu Charan Sahu, Asst. Executive Engineer, Irrigation Baghua Project,  Bhanjanagar Irrigation Division, Dist-Ganjam today i.e. on 30.09.2022 at 9 places in Ganjam district i.e;

• One triple storeyed residential building located at Bijaya Vihar, 2^nd lane, PS-Berhampur Sadar, Dist-Ganjam.
• One double storeyed building located at Niladri Vihar, 1^st lane, Berhampur.
• House at native village Nuasahi, PS-Buguda, Dist-Ganjam.
• Residential house of his associate located at Govinda Vihar, 9^th lane, Lochapada, Berhampur.
• House of his servant at Santoshi Mandira Sahi, Bali Pindi Street, Buguda, Dist-Ganjam.
• House of his relative at Shakti Nagar, 3^rd lane, Berhampur.
• Residential house at Buguda, Dist-Ganjam.
• residential quarter at Baghua Irrigation Project, Buguda, Dist-Ganjam.
• Office chamber at Baghua Irrigation Project, Buguda, Dist-Ganjam.

9 teams of Odisha Vigilance led by 1 Addl. SP, 4 DSPs, 9 Inspectors and other staff conducted the search on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.

During house searches so far, the following movable and immovable assets worth Crores have been unearthed in the name of Sri Bishnu Charan Sahu, AEE and his family members;

• One triple storeyed residential building over plot No.4591/10743 with built up area 7938 Sqft. located at Bijaya Vihar, 2^nd lane, PS- Berhampur Sadar, Dist-Ganjam worth over Rs.1.38 Crore. (Picture given below).
• One double storeyed building located at Niladri Vihar, 1^st lane, Berhampur.

Vigilance Technical Wing is carrying out detailed measurement of above buildings and valuation may increase further.

• 2 numbers of plots in prime area of Berhampur. Undervaluation is suspected during registration. Vigilance Technical Wing to carry out detailed measurements and valuations.
• Bank, Postal & Insurance deposits worth over Rs.85.33 Lakhs.
• Cash Rs.1,38,000/-.
• 1 four wheeler (Hyundai Creta 1.6 VTVTE+) worth over Rs.9.99 Lakhs.
• 3 two wheelers worth over Rs.1.61 Lakhs.
• Gold & silver ornaments worth over Rs.8.35 Lakhs.
• Household articles worth over Rs.11.48 Lakh.

 

Sri Bishnu Charan Sahu, Asst. Executive Engineer is being examined to ascertain source of the assets. Further searches are continuing. Unearthing of more assets is likely and overall valuation is likely to increase.
