Cuttack,27/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-   Today i.e. on 27.09.2022, Sri Somanath Panda, Ex-Senior Manager (Tender), OB & CC Ltd., Setu Bhawan, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Koraput Vigilance P.S. Case No.30 dtd.25.12.2005 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 for possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs.16,33,941/- (Rupees Sixteen Lakh Thirty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-one) to his known sources of income and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand), and in default of payment of fine, to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a further period of 6 months for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Sri Susanta Kumar Biswal, Ex-Inspector, Vigilance Koraput Division, A/p-DSP, Vigilance, Koraput Division had investigated the case and Sri Ajit Kumar Pattanaik, P.P, Special Court, Bhubaneswar conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution.
