SAW MILL ACCESSORIES ALONG WITH VALUABLE TIMBER WORTH OVER RS.10.91 LAKH SEIZED.

 Cuttack,23/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 23.09.2022, on receipt of reliable information regarding running of two illegal saw mills at village Jagannathpur under Soro PS and another in village Rasalpur under Sadar PS, Dist-Balasore, a joint forest raid was conducted by the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance. It was ascertained that the two saw mills were running without any valid license. During the raid, saw mill accessories along with timber worth Rs.10,91,150/-(Rupees Ten Lakh Ninety-one Thousand One Hundred Fifty) were detected and seized. In this connection, three forest cases vide OR case No.13^K of 2022-23 in Kuldiha Wildlife Range, OR case No.28^CH and UD Case No.12^CH of 2022-23 in Chandipur Wildlife Range for violation of Section-4 of Saw Mill & Saw Pit Control Act, 1991 under Balasore Wildlife Division have been registered respectively and are under investigation.
