TIMBER ALONG WITH VEHICLE WORTH RS.4.40 LAKH SEIZED.

Cuttack,2/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 02.09.2022, on receipt of reliable information regarding transportation of illegal timber in a Mahindra Pick up vehicle bearing without any registration number near village Somanathpur Chhak under Industrial PS, Dist-Balasore, a joint forest raid was conducted by the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance and the said vehicle laden with timber was intercepted. During raid, 77.49 Cft. timber including vehicle worth Rs.4,40,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Forty Thousand) was seized. In this connection, one forest case vide UD Case No.11^CH of 2022-23 was registered in Chandipur Wild Life Range under Balasore Wild Life Division. Investigation is continuing.
