Bhubaneswar, 20/4/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Entrepreneurship development programmeon value addition of Mushroomwas organized for the stakeholders of Khordharani Producer Company Ltd. (KPCL) at KVK-Khordha, ICAR-CIFA from 18th& 19th April, 2022. The programme was jointly organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra-Khordha, ICAR-CIFA, Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar, ATMA, Banapur, Khordha and KPCL, Gambharimunda, Banapur, Khordha. Earlier Dr. HarapriyaNayak, SMS (Home Science) welcome the delegates. Mr. A.K. Dash, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK-Khordha highlighted the scope and importance of value added mushroom product. He also encouraged the participant to start entrepreneur activities on Mushroom for their nutritional security and income generation. BTT Convenor, ATMA, Banapur, Managing Director of KPCL, Banapur graced the occasion. The trainees were imparted knowledge on paddy straw mushroom cultivation method, processing techniques and preparation of various value added products from paddy straw mushroom. Skill oriented practical demonstration on value added mushroom production such as pickle, sauce, chutney and nuggets were imparted to the trainees along with suitable packaging for storage of the product. A total of 36 trainees benefitted from the training programme. The programme was coordinated by Dr. HarapriyaNayak, SMS (Home Science), Smt. SukantiBehera, ACTO (Home Science) of KVK-Khordha under the supervision and guidance of Mr. A.K. Dash, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK-Khordha, ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar.
