Sundari Kandhapan, Ex-ICDS Supervisor (Dismissed), Lamtaput Block, Dist-Koraput was facing trial in the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore in Koraput Vigilance P.S. Case No.24 dated 28.06.2013 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988/420/468/471/477-A/120-B IPC for the offence committed by her for availing promotion to ICDS Supervisor from Anganwadi Worker by producing fake matriculation certificate.
On 07.04.2022, the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore convicted Smt. Sundari Kandhapan, Ex-ICDS Supervisor and sentenced her to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) on each count, and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months on each count for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988/420/471 IPC. All the sentences are to run concurrently.
