ASST. SUB-INSPECTOR OF POLICE, GOP POLICE STATION, DIST-PURI ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING RS.2,000/- BRIBE. 

Cuttack,26/9/2021( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 26.09.2021, Sri Radhashyam Nayak, ASI of Police, Gop Police Station, Dist-Puri has been apprehended by the officers of Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) from a complainant in order to release him and his spouse on bail in Gop PS Case No.410/2021.

Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 26.09.2021 wherein the accused Sri Radhashyam Nayak, ASI was caught by the officers of Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division in side the Gop Police Station while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) from complainant. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the Govt. residential quarter of Sri Radhashyam Nayak, ASI at Gop and his rented residential house at Sunelo, Kendrapara town. He has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.

In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S. Case No.27 dated 25.09.2021 U/s 7 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
