Cuttack,12/1/2021 ( Odisha Samachar / Dipti Ranjan Kanungo )- Today i.e. on 12.1.2021, Smt. Radhamani Dei, ICDS Supervisor, Kutrukhamar Sector, Bhawanipatna Block, Dist. Kalahandi has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) from complainant Smt. Simantini Naik, Anganwadi Worker of Kurumchuan Anganwadi Centre under Kutrukhamar Sector for passing of bills under Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) in favour of the complainant.
Accordingly, a trap was laid on 12.1.2021. Accused Smt. Radhamani Dei, ICDS Supervisor was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) from complainant Smt. Naik. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Smt. Dei, ICDS Supervisor and seized in presence of witnesses. Her right hand wash gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by her. Rented residential house of Smt. Dei at Purunapada, Bhawanipatna and house at native village Brokodi, Raikia, Dist. Kandhamal are being searched. Smt. Radhamani Dei, ICDS Supervisor has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S. case No.4 dt.11.1.2021 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
