Bhubaneswar, 01/01/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- As a part of Swachhata Pakhwada activities, ICAR-CIFA organized thespecial programme on 30.12.2020 for publicity of the Swachhata activities and to promote awareness about cleanliness among the people.Leading Odia Film Actor Sri. Arindam Roy, who is the Brand Ambassador of Cuttack city on Swachh Bharat Missiongraced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his speech Sri Roy stressed that the cleanlinesscampaign should be part of our everyday life and our own surroundings should be kept cleanby us. He appreciated the efforts done by ICAR-CIFA during these Swachhata Pakhwada. The Guest of Honour of the occasion, Mrs. Sandhya Pattnaik, Managing Director, NIFD also spoke on this occasion. She stressed that Swachhata (cleanliness) should come from the family. Earlier Dr. Saroj Kumar Swain, 
Director of the Institutewelcomed the dignitaries and underscored the importance of Swachh Bharat Mission increating critical awareness for clean environment among all categories of people. Mr NitishChandan, Scientist and Nodal Officer of Swachh Bharat Programme of the Institute made abrief presentation about different Swachh Bharat activities carried out by the Institute. Print and electronic personnel werealso present for the adequate publicity of the SwachhataPakhwada. Earlier to this programme a tree plantation was held with the guests Infront of the playground of the Institute. The programme was also coordinated byShri I.B. Kumar,Senior Administrative Officer, ICAR-CIFA and he also proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the event.
