Biridi, 28/09/2026 ( Odisha Samachar): The 12th District-Level Foundation Day of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, “SPARK2026,” was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the premises of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Sankarpur, under Biridi Block of Jagatsinghpur district. The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of Sri Dinabandhu Chindra, Principal-in-Charge, OAV Sankarpur.
On the occasion of the Foundation Day, various competitions such as dance, singing, debate, art, quiz and elocution were organized among the students. A total of 500 students participated in these competitions. The meritorious students were felicitated and awarded prizes during the special ceremony organized to mark the Foundation Day. 
At the inaugural ceremony, Sri Keshab Meher, District Education Officer, attended as the Chief Guest, while Smt. Nibedita Pattnaik, Nodal Principal, OAV Jagatsinghpur, was the Chief Speaker. Smt. Jagnyaseni Nayak, Vice-Principal, OAV Korkora, Sri Manoj Kumar Nandi, VicePrincipal, OAV Salajanga, and Sri Dinabandhu Chindra, Principal-in-Charge, OAV Sankarpur, attended as distinguished guests. The Principals/Principal-in-Charges of all eight Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas of Jagatsinghpur district also participated in the programme.
During the event, Smt. Shubhalaxmi Mohapatra, English Teacher of OAV Korkora, Raghunathpur, and Sri Pradeep Kumar Sethi, English Teacher of OAV Mulisingh, Tirtol, conducted the stage proceedings. Smt. Aparajita Priyadarshi, English Teacher of OAV Sankarpur, Biridi, proposed the vote of thanks. In the valedictory ceremony held in the afternoon, Hon’ble Member of Parliament Sri Bibhupasad Tarai attended as the Chief Guest, while retired Principal Sri Bijay Kumar Biswal was the Chief Speaker.
Other distinguished guests present at the valedictory ceremony included Smt. Pratichee Tanaya Mohanty, District Public Relations Officer; Smt. Ayushi Pati, BDO, Biridi; Smt. Lakshyahira Lavanyabati Behera, Additional District Education Officer, and Smt. Nibedita Pattnaik, Principal, OAV Tirtol, Jagatsinghpur. The meeting and proceedings were conducted by Sri Dinabandhu Chindra.
