Interacted with farmers and district collectors
Bhubaneswar, 29/06/2025( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra )- The Rabi paddy procurement process in the state is coming to an end this month. The Minister of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Shri Krushna Chandra Patra, visited the state food supply corporation and discussed with the officials regarding the progress of paddy procurement and ascertained the situation.
Since the paddy procurement process in the state is in the final phase, Minister Shri Patra directed the officials to expedite the procurement from eligible farmers. He also instructed officials to work on the holidays considering the farmers’ interests.
The minister also discussed with various district collectors and farmers in this regard. He discussed progress with Bolangir and Subarnapur district collectors.With this, he also enquired whether the minimum support price and input assistance for paddy is being received by farmers or not. He also stressed upon resolving compalints on the procurement.
In this review meeting, the Managing Director of the State Civil Supply Corporation Shri K. Sudarshan Chakravarty apprised about the progress of paddy procurement. On this occasion, the senior officials were also present.
