Bhubaneswar, 4/12/2024 ( Odisha Samachar / Rajat Mohapatra ) : The Directorate of Horticulture, Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment (DA&FE), 
organized a two-day training-cum-workshop 
under the Odisha Jackfruit Mission at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Horticulture, Deras, on 30th November and 1st December 2024. Participants included representatives from three Technology Incubation Centers (TICs) in Koraput, Kandhamal, and Keonjhar, along with officials from the department, ORMAS, ICAR-IIHR (CHES), and Technical Support Unit – Palladium.
The workshop featured industry specialists and master trainers from Kerala, who guided participants in creating various value-added products from jackfruit.
Additionally, two companies—Artocarpus Foods Pvt. Ltd. and Nutritivo Food Products LLP—signed MoUs with the Directorate of Horticulture. These partnerships aim to provide training and facilitate trade opportunities with the TICs, further promoting the jackfruit industry in Odisha.
