Bhubaneswar, 29/8/2023 ( Odisha Samachar )- : The wait for Jio AirFiber is over. Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani announced at the company’s annual general meeting that it will be launched on September 19 Ganesh Puja. Using the 5G network and advanced wireless technology, Jio Air Fiber will provide wireless broadband services to homes and offices. A revolutionary change is expected in the telecom sector after the launch of Jio Air Fiber.
Mukesh Ambani said , “ More than one crore premises are connected to our optical fiber service JioFiber. There are still one lakh such premises where providing wireline connection is a difficult matter. Jio Air Fiber will ease that difficulty. Through this we hope to reach 20 crore homes and premises. After the launch of Jio Air Fiber, Jio can add 1.5 lakh new customers every day.”
Jio’s optical fiber is spread over 15 lakh kilometers across the hinterland of India. Customers on optical fiber are using an average of over 280GB of data per month, which is 10 times more than Jio’s mobile data usage per customer.
Announcing the launch of Jio True-5G Developer Platform and Jio True-5G Lab along with Jio Air Fiber at the Annual General Meeting, Jio Chairman Akash Ambani said, “We are building a platform that will transform the way entrepreneurs, small businesses and startups interact with the digital world . ” Keeping in view the needs of entrepreneurs, Jio has developed a comprehensive platform including 5G network , edge computing and applications. Similarly , our industrial partners at Jio True-5G Lab can develop , test and co-build solutions unique to the industrial sector. The Jio True-5G Lab will be located at Reliance Corporate Park , Navi Mumbai.
