Renowned journalists of the country and eminent personalities of different fields will gather in Bihar . Important decisions taken in the meeting of the National Executive of WJAI
Patna, 27/8/2023 ( Odisha Samachar )- . The National Executive meeting of the Web Journalists’ Association of India (WJAI) was held on Sunday at Hotel Maitriya Inn in the capital Patna. The meeting was presided over by Anand Kaushal, National President, WJAI. A two-day meeting of WJAI Web Media Summit cum General Assembly will be organized on 28th and 29th October, which will be attended by eminent journalists, web journalists and personalities from different fields from across the country, Dr. Amit Ranjan, General Secretary of the organization informed the same after the National Executive meeting.
In the meeting, many important issues including constitution amendment, general assembly meeting for formation of national executive were discussed.
National General Secretary Dr. Ranjan also presented the report of the activities of the organization and the details of income and expenditure of the previous years, on which the members expressed their satisfaction and passed it with applause. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that on October 28 and 29, a meeting of the Web Media Summit cum General Assembly would be called, in which the National Executive would be reconstituted. In the Web Media Summit, a grand opening session, various intellectual and technical sessions, cultural sessions will be organized in which eminent journalists of the country will participate. For its operation, a 15-member organizing committee was constituted under the chairmanship of National President Anand Kaushal and the convenorship of the National General Secretary.
In the meeting, on the agenda of amendment in the constitution, it was unanimously decided by the executive body that the constitution of the organization is complete, in which there is no need for amendment.
In the meeting, the National President and the National General Secretary were unanimously authorized to reconstitute the National Executive, prepare a framework for the election.
Addressing the meeting, National President Anand Kaushal said that WJAI is the first organization working in the interest of web media, which also has its own self-regulatory body. He further said that the things we included in our constitution at the time of establishment of WJAI, later the central government also included those things in the guidelines issued for digital media and our presence was also appreciated by the central government. This is our great achievement. He further said that we are continuously working for web journalists and will continue to fight for the rights of web journalists.
On the other hand, National General Secretary Dr. Amit Ranjan said that it is the result of our foresight that we are not only the biggest self-regulatory body of the country. Our talks have been appreciated by the Central Government and the State Governments as well and our demands were also considered. He appealed to the members to maintain unity.
The suspension of Patna District Vice President was unanimously withdrawn in the meeting.
The National Executive meeting was attended by National Secretary Murli Manohar Srivastava, National Joint Secretary Dr. Leena, Manokamna Singh, Ganpat Aryan, Ramesh Pandey, National Joint Secretary Akbar Imam, National Office Secretary Manjesh Kumar, National Executive Member cum Bihar State Vice President Bal Krishna Kumar, National executive member cum-Bihar State General Secretary Anoop Narayan Singh, Executive Member cum Bihar State Secretary Chandan Kumar, Executive Members Chandan Raj, Rambalak Rai, Aditya Raj, Rajeev Ranjan, Nalini Bhardwaj etc. members also addressed.
