Cuttack, 31/01/2023 (Odisha Samachar)- While it has been decided to establish High Court video conferencing (VC) cabins in all districts, it is going to start in 10 jurisdictions in the first phase. It has been informed that virtual high courts will be established in Baleshwar, Brahmapur (Ganjam), Bhadrak, Bhavanipatna (Kalahandi), Bhubaneswar (Khordha), Balangir, Jaipur (Koraput), Puri, Rourkela (Sunderghatgarh), Sambalpur on February 3. It is worth mentioning here that the Supreme Court’s Dec. Following the order of 14th, the decision was taken by the High Court to establish dedicated VC cabins in all the 30 jurisdictions of the state. In the first phase, VC cabins will be established in 10 districts. Arrangements have also been made to deploy staff at all these locations to ensure proper functioning of the VC cabin. In this regard, instructions have been issued by the High Court Registry. E-filing, mending, removal of defects, virtual hearing of cases, approval of certified copy and other arrangements in VC cabin will be as per SOP. All these VC cabins will function as virtual high courts.
