Cuttack,18/10/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- Today i.e. on 18.10.2022, on receipt of reliable information regarding running of an illegal saw mill at village Chormara under Singla PS, Dist-Balasore, a joint forest raid was conducted by the Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance.
It was ascertained that the saw mill was running without any valid license. 
During the raid, saw mill accessories along with valuable timber worth Rs.5,00,000/-(Rupees Five Lakh) were detected and seized. In this connection, one forest case vide OR case No.50JL of 2022-23in Jaleswar Wildlife Range for violation of Section-4 of Saw Mill & Saw Pit Control Act, 1991 has been registered under Balasore Wildlife Division and is under investigation.
