CASH RS.2,03,000/- RECOVERED & SEIZED.  

                 Cuttack,13/9/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )-   Based on reliable inputs, on 12.09.2022 at about 9.30 PM, the team of Odisha Vigilance intercepted Sri Jogendra Majhi, Forester, Sagada Section under DFO (South) Division, Kalahandi near Irrigation colony chowk while he was returning to Irrigation colony from Bhawanipatna in a black colour motor cycle bearing registration No.OD-08-H-2848. During interception, suspected ill-gotten cash to the tune of Rs.2,03,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Three Thousand) was recovered from Sri Majhi, which he could not account for satisfactorily. The cash as well as his motor cycle have been seized.

Following interception, simultaneous searches are being conducted at his residential Govt. quarter at Sagada Forest Section, Bhawanipatna and residential Govt. quarter of his relative at Irrigation colony, Bhawanipatna.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No.29 dated 13.09.2022 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b) of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against Sri Jogendra Majhi, Forester, Sagada Section under DFO (South) Division, Kalahandi. Sri Majhi has been arrested today i.e. on 13.09.2022 and is being forwarded to the Court.

The investigation of the case is in progress.
