Cuttack,11/2/2022 ( Odisha Samachar )- On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, simultaneous house searches have been launched on the properties of Sri Biswajit Mohapatra, Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Sundargarh at 7 places in Khordha, Sundargarh, and Jagatsinghpur district i.e;
1) Residential house located at Rudrapur, Balianta, Bhubaneswar.
2) Flat located at Ashiana Apartment, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.
3) House at native Village- Redhua, Raghunathpur, Dist.- Jagatsinghpur.
4) House of relatives at Village- Jadatira, PO- Manijanga, Dist.- Jagatsingjpur.
5) Residential accommodation of relative of Sri Mohapatra located at OCL Campus, Rajgangpur, Dist.- Sundargarh.
6) Office residence located at Sundargarh town.
7) Office chamber located at Collectorate, Sundargarh today i.e. on 11.02.2022.
7 teams of Odisha Vigilance led by 8 DSsP, 2 Inspectors, 5 ASIs and other staff conducted the search on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed;
1) One double storyed building at Naharkanta, Bhubaneswar worth about Rs. 89 lakhs.(Picture given below)
2) One flat at Asiana, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.
3) 10 PLOTS IN BHUBANESWAR AND JAGATSINGHPUR . Details as under;
- a) Plot located at Naharkanta College Road, P.S.- Balianta, Bhubaneswar, Dist- Khurda measuring area 5000 sqft. approx.
- b) Plot bearing No. 335/413, Mouza Johala, Balianta, Bhubaneswar measuring Area A0.850 decimals.
- c) Plot bearing No. 691/2704, Khata No. 384/553, Mouza- Uttamundmuhan, Jatani, Khurda measuring Area A0.930 decimals.
- d) Plot bearing No. 279, Khata No. 285/111, Mouza-Barti, Raghunathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.77 decimals.
- e) Plot bearing No. 122, Khata No. 186, Mouza-Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.14 decimals.
- f) Plot bearing No. 169, Khata No. 405/54 Mouza-Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.06 decimals.
- g) Plot bearing No. 217, Khata No. 335, Mouza- Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.37 decimals
- h) Plot bearing No. 1061, Khata No. 244, Mouza- Jagannathpur, Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.41 decimals.
- i) 2 Plots bearing No. 838 and 839, Khata No. 1022/25, Mouza- Redhua, Dist- Jagatsinghpur measuring Area A0.03 decimals.
Verification and valuation of plots are being done. Market value may be in crores.
4) He had started Cement business recently in name of his house. A godown with Cement stocks opposite to his house in Balianta, Bhubaneswar unearthed. Finance Wing of Odisha Vigilance is carrying out valuation of Cement stocks at the godown. (Pictures given below)
5) Over Rs. 2.42 Crores found in Bank Fixed deposits, Saving Accounts, Insurance Premium, Mutual Funds and NPS.
