Observation of Vigilance Awareness Week at ICAR-CIFA

Cuttck,2/11/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, observed the “Vigilance Awareness Week -2021”  with the theme  of  Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity from 26th October to 1st November, 2021 . The “Integrity Pledge for The Citizens” and also “Integrity Pledge for The Organization”was taken by all employees of the ICAR-CIFA  at it’s head quarter at Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and also at it’s regional research centres atRahara, West Bengal;Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh; Bengaluru, Karnataka and Bhatinda, Punjabin virtual mode.Dr.Saroj Kumar Swain,  Director,  Dr.M.Samanta, Vigilance officer and Mr.B.K.Sinha  Chief Administrative Officer of ICAR-CIFA emphasized the role of vigilance in an organization for its clean image and public service. Following the guidelines of the CVC, ICAR-CIFA has made  various banners and posters on “PIDPI (Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers)”and have displayed them at various public places. An essay writing competition on  the “Role of Vigilance for the corruption free India” and a debate  on “Can the Government machinery alone eradicate corruption” were also organized during this week.In the concluding ceremony, Sri Saumyendra Kumar Priyadarsi, the commissioner of police of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack presided as the chief guest and delivered a talk on “Preventive vigilance and integrity in public life” and emphasized the role of preventive vigilance in eradicating coruption. The awardee  of the various categories of competitions were felicitated with the certificates. Dr.S.K.Swain,  Director of the institute requested all employees to remain alert  on every aspects so that the prestige of the institute remain at its high, and all stake holders get smooth  service of this institute without any problems. Dr.M.Samanta, vigilance officer of the institute expressed his happiness for  the  very clean image of the employees and the institution. He requested all stuffs for their commitment to maintain the highest standards  of probity and integrity  while serving at ICAR-CIFA in the true spirit of our service to the nation. He thanked all employees of the  ICAR-CIFA for observing the vigilance awareness week with great enthusiasm and spirit,  and  also providing their highest service and support  to the farmers, researchers and  all  stake holders without any hindrance.
