Bhubaneswar, 6/10 /2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- : The continuous hike of price of non-subsidies cooking gas cylinders and petrol, diesel has cascading effects on the price of other essential commodities in the Country. It has pinch a hole in the pocket of common consumers who are backline livelihood problems due to Corona Virus Pandemic since last two years. But this price hike of man made crisis has thrown their live out of gear and they suffer from maintaining their family says Mr Rabi Behera, President, Samajwadi Party State Unit. Today the oil marketing companies have hiked petrol litre by 30 paise for which in Bhubaneswar petrol liter has reached 103.83 and diesel has been hiked by 35 paise for which a liter of diesel today in Bhubaneswar is 99.72 paise. The common consumers using LPG cylinder for cooking purpose has to pay Rs. 926 as the cylinder price has increased by Rs. 15. The poor people of the state so also the poor, lower middle class & middle class families struggling for their daily bread now has to go into ruins as inflation and price rise off essential commodities is going to affect their livelihood. Govt. should direct the oil companies to roll back the fuel price and the price of cooking gas cylinders. It has also earlier increased the price of commercial cylinders on 1st October. The people of the country are facing difficulties of livelihood problem and if the Govt. does not take care of it Samajwadi Party will go to the street say Mr. Behera demanding to bring petrol & diesel under GST. He has also appealed all oppositions parties to opposed the anti people policy of the steep price hike of fuel and cooking gas or else face the wrath of the people of India. The price hike of fuel and cooking gas cylinder is the ‘Acche Din’ gift of Modi Govt. on the auspicious occasion of ‘Mahalaya’ says Mr. Behera.
