Cuttack,25/8/2021 ( Odisha Samachar)-Today i.e. on 25.08.2021, Shri Sujan Kumar Sahu, In-charge Principal, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Badi, Khariar, Dist-Nuapada has been apprehended by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division for demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand) from a complainant in order to update his service book and for sanction of annual increment in his favour.
Based on the above complaint, a trap was laid on 25.08.2021 wherein the accused Shri Sahu, I/c Principal was caught by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division inside his office room while demanding and accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand) from complainant. The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Shri Sahu and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash as well as shirt pocket wash of Shri Sahu gave positive chemical reaction, confirming acceptance and handling of bribe money by him. Following the trap, simultaneous searches have been launched on the residential rented house and office room of Shri Sahu at Khariar, Dist-Nuapada and his house at native village Lachha Bandha, Dist-Angul.
Shri Sujan Kumar Sahu, In-charge Principal has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court. In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S. Case No.18 dated 24.08.2021 U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and is under investigation.
