CHIEF DISTRICT VETERINARY OFFICER (CDVO), NUAPADA ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE IN INTERCEPTION CASE REMANDED TO JUDICIAL CUSTODY TILL 20.08.2021.

 Cuttack,9/8/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )-   On 08.08.2021, Vigilance Officers of Koraput Division had intercepted Sri Trilochan Dhal, Chief District Veterinary Officer (CDVO), Dist-Nuapada at 4.00 AM near Tarini temple, Nuapada, while he was plying towards Cuttack on a Govt. Swift Dzire car. During interception, a sum of Rs.2,27,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Twenty-seven Thousand) was found from the possession of Sri Dhal (CDVO), which he could not account for satisfactorily.  During search, cash of Rs.50,000/- from his office table drawer and cash of Rs.51,200/- from his Govt. residential quarter at Nuapada have been found. The entire amount totalling to Rs 3,28,200/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Twenty-eight Thousand Two Hundred) has been seized.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS case No.16 dt.08.08.2021 U/s 13 (2) r/w 13(1) (b) Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against Sri Trilochan Dhal, Chief District Veterinary Officer (CDVO), Nuapada. Accused Sri Dhal, CDVO, Nuapada was arrested on 08.08.2021 and today i.e. on 09.08.2021 he has been forwarded to the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Vigilance, Bhawanipatna. The Hon’ble Court has remanded him to Judicial custody till 20.08.2021.

          The investigation of the case is in progress.
