Cuttack, 3/6/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On receipt of reliable information regarding collection of huge cash by Sri Jayaprakash Mohanty, District Manager, Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation (TDCC) Ltd., Odisha, Sundargarh as illegal gratification from different sources, the officers of Vigilance Rourkela Division kept a close watch over the movement and activity of Sri Mohanty.
Accordingly, today i.e. on 2.6.2021, Vigilance Officers of Rourkela Division intercepted him at 5.57 AM near Masunikani Toll Gate, Sundargarh while he was proceeding to Jharsuguda from Sundaragrh in a private Bolero vehicle attached to TDCC, Sundargarh for official use. During interception, a sum of Rs.18,80,500/- (Rupees Eighteen Lakhs Eighty Thousand and Five Hundred) was found from his possession which he could not account for satisfactorily.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS case No.5 dt.2.6.2021 has been registered against Sri Jayaprakash Mohanty, District Manager, Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation (TDCC) Ltd., Odisha, Sundargarh.
Following interception, his Government quarter at Sundargarh and residential house at Dhauli, Bhubaneswar are being searched.
The investigation of the case is in progress.
