Cuttack, 22/01/2021 ( Odisha Samachar )- On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Sri Himanchal Bagh, Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS), Singsari GP under Umerkote Block, Dist. Nabarangpur, his (1) residential house at Umerkote, Dist. Nabarangpur, (2) residential rented house at Umerkote, Dist. Nabarangpur, and (3) office room at Singsari GP under Umerkote Block, Dist. Nabarangpur were searched simultaneously on 21.1.2021 by the officers of Vigilance, Koraput Division on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore.
In course of search and inventory, Sri Himanchal Bagh, GRS has been found in possession of assets worth Rs.63,86,072/- (Rupees Sixty-three Lakhs Eighty-six Thousand Seventy-two) including one single-storied building, two numbers of plots, one four wheeler, one Auto, two numbers of two wheelers, deposits in different Banks, investment in Insurance policies, gold and silver ornaments, cash of over Rs.17 Lakhs and household articles.
After search, inventory and further enquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Sri Bagh were calculated and he was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income to the tune of Rs.79,78,208/- (Rupees Seventy-nine Lakhs Seventy-eight Thousand Two Hundred Eight).
As Sri Himanchal Bagh, Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS), Singsari GP under Umerkote Block, Dist. Nabarangpur was found in possession of such disproportionate assets, which he could not account for satisfactorily, Koraput Vigilance P.S. Case No.6 dt.22.1.2021 was registered against Sri Bagh U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b) P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 for detailed investigation. In course of investigation, today i.e. on 22.1.2021, Sri Bagh has been arrested and forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore. The Hon’ble Court has remanded him to jail custody till 4.2.2021.
